A Christmas Message from Beau Satchelle

As another Christmas is upon us and the mad rush to meet the deadline to prepare for the holiday for family and friends is approaching fast and furious, Beau Satchelle wanted to take this opportunity to stop for just a moment and post a message of reflection. For us, this has been a year of transitions which involved some surprises, plenty of accomplishments and a few disappointments. We are grateful for our blessings in our first year of growth and continuing to do introspective work for our business and as individuals. Being an entrepreneur takes more commitment than one can believe possible. Possessing the ability to ignore all the distractions that can hinder your focus and surrounding yourself with positive, like-minded people are betting on your success is priceless. As we reflect on where we are as a business, the realization that our knowledge has come from many directions, I would like to touch on three areas that have impacted Beau Satchelle’s growth. Continuing Education Without a doubt, after the 2008 Recession, we saw the growth of many aspiring American entrepreneurs. And, as we all compete for consumer dollars, the ability to offer quality in products and services is important. Although we study our direct competitors in the luxury leather industry, we gain even more from other industries. We are inspired by tech companies with their visionary abilities; we admire five star hotels and resorts that leave no stone unturned to please their guests and pay homage to the selflessness organizers of the charities that we’ve partnered with who work so hard to help those less fortunate. We appreciate artists, designers and engineers of all fields who value producing quality, strive for sustainability and embrace beauty and creativity. Continuing Education
Without a doubt, after the 2008 Recession, we saw the growth of many aspiring American entrepreneurs.

The Internet’s Influence
The emergence of the internet has allowed entrepreneurs to step up their game incredibly. Just the ability to gather information about their craft, learn new skills, or network with other entrepreneurs is beyond imaginable. The ability to outsource talent to handle aspects of a start up business is phenomenal whether that be writing copy, creating a company logo or consulting on legal matters. Barriers have been broken in the ability to connect with celebrities and influencers to introduce your brand. The ability to tell your story whether you’ve just started or been in game for decades. For instance, Ralph Lauren has been in business for over 50 years and has successfully incorporated their history and traditions with the 21 century.

The Under 35 Generation
Like them or not, the millennium generation has changed the game of entrepreneurship. Perhaps growing up with the internet allows them to view the world much differently than their parents or grandparents. Social causes are just as important as making a profit. They want to be the change and build a brand around those values. Their world view has changed the way we all do business.

Look how the world has changed in the last 10 years: car services such as Uber and Lyft, internet subscription services, streaming music, movies and television shows, paying for any type of business service from Fiverr to internet companies who sell royalty free music for a business’ videos, to smartphone cameras being the marketing tool and all the social media platforms used to develop an internet brand. Millenniums love the word “disrupt” and have had a huge impact on how we all do business including well established large brands. This generation is remaking the rules when it comes to being an entrepreneur globally. It is an exciting time to be in business and we look forward to what 2017 will bring for entrepreneurs.

Beau Satchelle sends a loving Christmas greeting to all of our network including our family and friends and the many supporters we have gained over this year. We wish all of our readers a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and Happy Kwanzaa and just a peaceful and love filled season. -AJ
